Directions
- From Troy: This is the shortest route, and the one many people prefer: Take I-87 North to exit 20 (Whitehall). At the light take a left, then follow NY-149 East to Ft. Ann (about 13 miles). Then take US-4 North into Vermont. After US-4 becomes a divided highway (shortly after the border), take the first exit and follow VT-22A North. This merges with US-7 at Vergennes (about 40 miles). Follow US-7 to I-189 (about 25 more miles). Take I-189 to I-89 North. Get off at exit 14W. * Go right across the bridge, through the first light, then take a right at the second light for the left turn onto Spear Street (follow the signs, it is similar to a jughandle). When the road forks after the intersection, bear right, after that keep to the left. Gutterson Field House is at the top of the hill. Distance: 135 miles.
- This is an alternate route, slightly longer but with less connections and less chance of error: Follow Route 7 East toward Vermont. After passing turnoffs for New York Route 22 (south and north), at the second set of flashing yellow lights, follow VT Route 279 East. Connect to VT 7 North. Stay on Rt. 7 all the way to Shelburne. Take a right onto I-189 and then take I-89 North. Get off at exit 14W. Follow directions above from *. Distance: 150 miles.
- From Hanover (Dartmouth): Get on I-89 North. Get off at Exit 14W and pick up the directions above at *. Distance: 95 miles.
