Hobey Baker Rink
Princeton, NJ

  • Tickets cost $10 ($6 for children) and are available online or by phone from the Princeton Athletic Ticket Office (609-258-4TIX). Baker Rink rarely sells out, but because the seating capacity is small, we advise buying tickets ahead of time.

  • If using a GPS, you can enter the intersection of Faculty Road and Elm Drive and then follow the directions below, or enter the coordinates 40° 20’ 34.13” and 74° 39’ 28.41
  • From Troy: Take the NYS Thruway (I-87) South to Exit 15. Follow I-287 South to Exit 17, then take US-206 South into Princeton. In the town US-206 takes a right turn to continue south. At this intersection, take a left onto Nassau Street. Less than half a mile later take a right onto Washington Road. *Follow Washington Road down the hill to Faculty Road. Take a right onto Faculty Road, then a right onto Elm Drive. At the traffic circle, go 3/4 of the way around to the third right off the circle (this amounts to what would be a left turn from Elm Drive if there weren't a circle) and head straight. The first right off this road leads uphill to the parking garage, or you can go straight across this intersection (more or less — the road immediately bears right and goes behind the garage) to the lot in front of Baker Rink. Distance: 195 miles.
  • From Quinnipiac: Find I-95 South. (I-91 South leads to I-95.) Take I-95 south into New York State. At this point you can chose from two routes. The most direct route is through New York City by staying on I-95, which leads to the George Washington Bridge. Continue on I-95 to the New Jersey Turnpike, then take the Turnpike south and pick up the directions above at *. If, like us, you want to avoid NYC, exit I-95 at Exit 21 and take I-287 across the Tappan Zee Bridge. Leave I-287 (now the New York Thruway) at Exit 13 and follow the Palisades Parkway South into New Jersey. This terminates at I-95. Follow I-95 west to the New Jersey Turnpike. Follow the Turnpike south to Exit 9. Stay in the right lane while approaching the tollbooth and make a right turn onto NJ-18 immediately after the booth. Very shortly after entering NJ-18, the highway splits. Stay to the left at this fork. You will then cross over US-1 at which point you must bear immediately bear right for the exit to US-1 south. These three turns occur in rapid succession. Follow US-1 South into Penns Neck until you reach Washington Road (County Road 571). Turn right onto Washington Road toward Princeton. Pick up directions above from *. Distance: 150 miles.

  • Campus map: Baker Rink is slightly below and to the left of center, adjacent to parking lot 6.
  • Parking: Free parking is available in the parking garage and in the lot beyond it, both of which are close to Baker Rink.
  • Seating: Baker Rink seats 2,092. It is rarely full, and it's quite easy to move if you don't like your ticketed seats. All seats are bench seats with curved backs. There's no rail to stand on, but it is possible to stand against the wall behind the last row of seats. The visitors' sections are sections 103 and 104, close to the corner, but visiting fans can be found in other sections as well. Note: It's always cold in Baker Rink, so dress accordingly.
  • Food: The only concession stand is located behind the goal farthest from the entrances. It offers hot dogs and snacks, and the lines can be long but move fairly quickly.

  • See https://www.zomato.com/princeton-nj/princeton-restaurants.
  • There is a large variety of restaurants in Princeton, from fast food chains to fine dining. Many are located along US-1 or on Nassau Street on the north edge of campus. Restaurants with Lawrenceville addresses are reasonable choices too, since most are only a mile or so down US-1 from Princeton.
