Tickets

• Tickets cost $8 and are not available online. They may be ordered from the Meehan Auditorium box office (401-863-2773) if purchased with a credit card or ordered through the mail. (See http://brownbears.collegesports.com/school-bio/brow-visit-guide.html for details.) This rink never sells out, so it's not a problem to buy tickets when you arrive.
• The visitors' section is section P, but many people move to higher seats.

Directions

• From Troy: Take I-90 East to the NY Thruway's Berkshire Extension and on to the Massachusetts Turnpike (all of this is I-90). Take Exit 10A of the Turnpike, then take MA-146 South, which becomes RI-146 in Rhode Island. When 146 merges with I-95 South, stay to the left. *Exit I-95 at I-195 and take I-195 East towards Cape Cod, then get off at Exit 3 (Gano Street). At the bottom of the ramp, turn right. At the fourth light take a left onto Angel Street. Go up the hill and take a right onto Hope Street. Meehan Auditorium is 1/4 mile down on the right. Distance: 180 miles.
• From New Haven (Yale): Find I-95 North, which heads towards Providence. Pick up the directions above at *. Distance: 105 miles.

Arena

• Campus map: Meehan Auditorium is the circular building just right of top center.
• Parking: A free lot is located behind the arena, off of Hope Street. The lot will fill close to game time, but there is also ample street parking.
• Seating: Meehan Auditorium seats 2,495. Since Brown's games never sell out, it's easy to change seats if your ticketed seat is not to your liking. Seats are individual fold-up style. Note: It's always cold in Meehan — dress accordingly.
• Food: Hot dogs and snacks only, at two concession stands near entrance.

Hotels

• There are no hotels within walking distance of Meehan. The Radisson is the closest (about 2 miles), but it isn't near anything else. The Holiday Inn and the Courtyard by Marriott are both near Providence Place (see below), and the Westin is adjacent to it and linked by a skybridge.

Restaurants

• There are hundreds of restaurants in Providence and it's difficult to find a listing of all of them. This list is fairly complete, but doesn't include fast food places, of which there are many. It also doesn't inlude one of our favorite chains, The Cheesecake Factory. The Providence Cheesecake Factory is located in Providence Place mall (see "Shopping" below).

• Shopping: Providence Place has shopping, restaurants, movies and an IMAX theater. The Arcade, at 65 Weybosset Street, is the oldest indoor marketplace in America and features three floors of shops, galleries, eateries and cultural events.
