Tickets
- Tickets cost $8 and are available online or at Tate Rink box office. This rink rarely sells out, so it shouldn't be a problem to buy tickets when you arrive.
- The visitors' sections are behind the visiting team's bench — sections 1-4 in the diagram.
Directions
- From Troy: Take NY Thruway (I-87) south to exit 17. Keep left after the toll booths, then at the stoplight take a left onto NY-17K East. This becomes Broadway in Newburgh. In Newburgh take a right onto US-9W South. Continue on 9W until you reach the West Point/Highland Falls exit. (The exit ramp for this exit loops around and crosses back over 9W.) Follow this road to Stoney Lonesome Gate. You will need to stop briefly at the checkpoint here. Continue on Stoney Lonesome Road until you see a large structure (the football stadium) ahead. Holleder Center, which includes Tate Rink, is on your right across from the football stadium. Distance: 115 miles.
Arena
- Campus map: Tate Rink is in the Holleder Center, #714, roughly in the center of the map
- Parking: A free lot is located on the right just before the arena. A walkway (with many steps) at the far end of the lot leads to Holleder Center.
- Seating: Tate Rink seats 2,648. Since Army's games rarely sell out, it's not difficult to change seats if your ticketed seat is not to your liking. The visitors section may be full, however. Seats in the visitors section are bleacher-style without backs. There is no rail to stand along.
- Food: There are several concession stands in the entry lobby selling hot dogs, pretzels, ice cream and candy.
Hotels
- West Point is close enough to Troy for an easy day trip.
- If you wish to stay overnight, Highland Falls is the closest town with hotels and Newburgh is the closest town with chain hotels.
Restaurants
- Newburgh has an Applebees and several fast food chains. Most are on NY-300 (go right on 17K at the Thruway exit).
