An offer for parents of RPI hockey players:

I live in the Troy area and have access to all of the local newspapers. I would be happy to notify you by email whenever I find an article relating to your son, and to mail the print version of it to you, or to give it to you at a game, whichever you prefer.

I've been doing this for parents for many years now and have found that very often parents don't find out about these articles in any other way (unless you have one of those rare sons who actually lets you know himself!).

The players, especially seniors, are also featured on the covers of the programs sold at the games. Occasionally there will be an article in the program too. I would be happy to save any program featuring your son for you.

There's no charge for any of this - I consider it a small return for the privilege of watching your sons play hockey at RPI for four years, especially for those of you who have given up that pleasure yourselves so that they could be here with us.

Please contact me if you are interested in receiving these items, or if there is anything else I can do for you. I have no official connection to the team or to RPI, but I live locally, attend nearly all home and away games, and am happy to help in any way I can.

May I suggest, also, that you consider subscribing to the RPI sports listserv? The listserv provides emails with commentary and discussion on recent and upcoming games (usually quite positive and supportive in nature, though there are no guarantees) from a loyal group of fans. We also post links to Internet articles we've found dealing with RPI hockey and just generally any news we find about the Engineers. The mail load is not intensive - usually 8-10 emails a week during the season - and it's a great way to keep informed.

Thanks for the quality parenting job you've done with these terrific young men!
