Unbeaten Big Red Too Much for RPI

Engineers Are Blanked Over Final Two Periods

Albany Times Union, November 11, 2001

ITHACA - Ryan Vesce had two goals and Mike Knoepfli scored the game-winner as Cornell defeated RPI 4-1 Saturday night in an Eastern College Athletic Conference hockey game.

Sam Paolini also tallied for the Big Red (3-0-0, 2-0-0 ECAC). Krzysztof Wieckowski, Stephen Baby and Denis Ladouceur each added two assists for Cornell.

Nolan Graham scored the only goal for the Engineers (2-4-0, 1-1-0). Kevin Kurk turned aside 23 shots.

Matt Underhill had 19 saves, including 12 in the second period for Cornell.

Paolini scored the final goal on a power play with 1:04 left.
