Albany Times Union, February 17, 2002

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - RPI got goals from five different players Saturday night and extended its winning streak to five with a 5-2 victory over Yale in an ECAC hockey game at Ingalls Rink.

Kevin Kurk made 30 saves for the Engineers in his first game since Jan. 12. RPI is 7-1-2 in its past 10 games to improve to 14-10-4 overall, 8-7-3 in the ECAC.

RPI was ahead 2-0 six minutes into the game on goals by Blake Pickett and Matt Murley, his 18th.

The Bulldogs (6-17-2, 5-11-2) got a goal from Evan Wax midway through the opening period, but Chris Migliore and Scott Basiuk put RPI ahead 4-1 with goals early in the second period. Yale cut the lead to 4-2 when Ryan Steeves scored midway through the period.
